It’s been a while since I’ve posted a wedding here … can you guess why? (Hint: pandemic…) Because there’s almost no destination weddings happening in Portugal at the moment! I miss the anticipation of a wedding day, the anxious build-up happening in the brides room just before going down the aisle, the tears, the kids running around and around, the drunken uncles (and aunties), the crazy sweaty moves on the dance floor. I long to photograph another beautiful wedding day like Gillian and Vince had at Fortaleza do Guincho. I think we all want to hug our loved ones, to kiss without fear, to dance in a big crowd singing along loud and without a mask. The vision seems so close but so far at the same time. While we wait we have the photos to remember how it was just a little bit ago.
