Have I said before that Lisbon is the coolest European city? I know … I’m starting to get a bit repetitive but I can´t help but brag about my city. These kids came all the way from the U.S. last year to celebrate their destination wedding in Cascais (coming to the blog soon) and we met a couple of days before in Lisbon to get to know each other in person and get a couple of photos by the Tejo River. We had fun exploring and getting lost in the narrow roads of Bica neighbourhood and playing with the light that was amazing that afternoon.
Just this past weekend I photographed a family session in Lisbon and I had a bit of a bitter sweet experience, on one hand it was sad to see my city so empty, especially in June when the city is (usually) celebrating the patron saint and summer festivities. But on the other hand it was great for taking pictures, as we practically had the city to ourselves and we could photograph easily in places that are usually packed with people. Crowds or no crowds, Lisbon is beautiful and I’m doing my best to take advantage of this quieter time to make amazing images.
