Best of 2015

It´s that time of year again… the end of a year and the beginning of a new one, when you look back over everything that happened over the past 12 months and look forward to everything that the next year has in store. And so, like every year, these are our favourite images from the past season. The concept of “best” is a very subjective one and we´re pretty sure that some of these images aren´t going to mean as much to you as they do to us… so maybe we should call them “our favourites” rather than “best of”. This year, the deciding factor behind the selection of these images was more about how they made us feel and less about compositional perfection. We have long since given up the search for perfection because it turns out that perfection is an illusion… we don´t want our images to be perfect but we need for them to be real, to capture a moment, to tell a story, to not take life too seriously and it´s something that we´ve been striving for more and more, to move away from the construction of “perfect” and just tell things the way they are… messy, imperfect, honest.

2015 was a crazy year, we pushed ourselves hard and learnt a lot, mostly about who we are and what we want from our photography. We met some amazing people and had some incredible experiences… and we couldn’t have done it without you guys, the couples who choose us to document their day, the people who follow our blog and leave us lovely comments, all of you are amazing and we wouldn´t be where we are without your support, so thank you! These are our favourites…
