By this time Yasmine and Paul must be in a completely different head space. Their baby is already born and life as they knew it when we took these photos is now completely different. Being a parent is the most amazingly challenging journey of life, the initial months are crazy! At least it was with me… a roller coaster of happiness, fear, excitement, anxiety, hope, exhaustion, a turmoil of emotions that keep coming at you while you’re trying to be focused and do everything right … Back in May these two contacted me to shoot their pregnancy photo session in Comporta, as they were staying at the Sublime Comporta for their babymoon.
Time stood still, the sun was warm and with the mystical scenery of Serra da Arrábida in the background, it was magic and beautiful. Here’s to the calm and nostalgic days before the amazingly crazy rollercoaster of emotions that is to have a kid running around and teaching you more than you even thought you needed to know about life and how to live it.
