This wedding was definitely one of the high points of our year… it was the first time we had visited the Azores and we were completely blown away by the beauty of this place! The island of Terceira is absolutely breath-taking, we drove through mountainous areas where it seemed as if man had never even set foot there, completely wild and pre-historic with the dark volcanic landscape and crazy vegetation. And in the coastal regions, closer to civilisation… cows. Lots and lots of cows… more cows that people, apparently. But getting back to Ana and Miguel, their wedding day was fantastic, with loads of cute details and fun moments. The groom and groomsmen’s journey to the ceremony was definitely original… they went by bike, and since they are all a crazy sporty bunch it couldn’t have been any other way. The photographer, however, had a bit of a life-altering experience whereby he discovered that perhaps it might be a good idea to do more exercise as the journey was just slightly… exhausting! It was a beautiful celebration with the sea as the background and dinner served on the typical Azorian terraces of Ana’s family home. Ana and Miguel are one of those genuine, down to earth couples, full of that contagious positive energy that rubs off on everyone around them, we couldn’t be happier that we had the opportunity to share this day with them…
