Lena & Rui

O post de hoje é um bocadinho diferente… normalmente estas linhas são dedicadas a um novo amor, ao começo de uma nova etapa de vida com alguém, os primeiros passos de  um novo tipo de união. Mas hoje, celebramos a viagem em si, e o tipo de amor que emerge numa relação. Quando o periodo de lua de mel acaba e te transforma de forma subtil… ensina-te a ser paciente, abre-te a mente para outras maneiras de fazer as coisas, o tipo de amor que até é capaz de tornar numa pessoa mais tolerante quando ele, deixa sempre (SEMPRE) a tampa da sanita para cima. O Rui e a Lena são casados á 5 anos e durante este tempo riram e choraram juntos, desentenderam-se e fizeram as pazes, aprenderam inúmeras coisas em relação um ao outro, trouxeram duas das crianças mais lindas que alguma vez já viram a este mundo e estão a educá-las de forma exemplar… e tudo isto têm-no feito juntos, de mãos dadas. Esta é uma celebração da viagem deles até aqui, brindamos a muitos mais anos da vossa união. Nós amamo-vos muito.

Today’s post is a little bit different… usually these pages are dedicated to new love, the beginnings of a life journey with someone, the first steps towards a new kind of togetherness. But today we celebrate the journey itself, and the kind of love that emerges in a relationship once the honeymoon period is over, it changes you in subtle ways… it teaches you patience, opens your mind to another way of doing things, the kind of love that is even capable of making you a more tolerant person when he always (ALWAYS) leaves the toilet seat up. Rui and Lena have been married for 5 years and in that time have laughed and cried, have fought and made up again, have learnt innumerable things about one another, have brought two of the most beautiful children you have ever seen into this world and are doing a pretty damn good job of raising them. And all of this they have done together… and keep doing together, hand in hand. This is a celebration of their journey so far, and here’s to many more years of your togetherness. We love you guys.
