Lucia, João and their friends & family came from all over the world to our little corner of Portugal to celebrate their wedding, and we´re definitely glad they did because we absolutely loved working with these 2 lovebirds. These guys have a special something, like a secret language, a lightness of spirit… it´s difficult to define or describe in words… but it makes them a joy to photograph and it´s also really clear that they´re crazy about each other. We adored this wedding, the laid-back atmosphere, the beautiful setting… and especially Lucia´s family who kept trying to ply us with their special brand of Romanian vodka throughout the cocktail party… I had the excuse of being on antibiotics but Luis didn´t get away so lightly!! Thank you João and Lucia, for being the amazing people you are and for making us a part of your wedding day… we wish you all the best for your future travels and hope to see you again in Portugal sometime. xxx

Robyn and Nicky are another couple who have fallen in love with the sun and the sea of this beautiful country and spend as much free time here as they can. They came out from Ireland with family and friends to celebrate their wedding in true Irish style… with lots of love and happiness, laughter and dancing. And even though we´re not religious, we couldn´t help but be moved by Father Joe´s sermon during the ceremony… he spoke of God being all around us, in the waves of the ocean and in the beauty of nature that surrounds us, and that the Catholic church too often makes the mistake of confining God within the walls of the church… when in fact he is everywhere. It was, without a doubt, the most touching religious ceremony we have ever witnessed and can´t help but feel that Robyn and Nicky have a very special friend in Father Joe. Thank you both for including us in this wonderful day, we wish you much happiness in your future adventures and hope to see you again soon in Ericeira!

Robyn and Nicky have been coming Ericeira for surfing holidays since forever… they have an apartment just around the corner from ours and visit these famous Portuguese waves as often as they possibly can, escaping the rainy Irish weather. So of course when it came time to plan their wedding, this part of the world was a pretty obvious choice. We spent a lovely (and surprisingly sunny!) afternoon with them on the beach a little while ago and are excited to work with them again soon… theirs will be one of our first weddings of 2013 and we are itching to get back into action!
